( 1 ) When replacing the 118-4316 Brake Switch As, the following additional parts are required: two 8T-8737 Seal Plug , two 186-3736 Connector Sockets and one 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit .When you replace the 118-4316 Brake Switch As, perform the following steps:
Disconnect the two harness wires from the 118-4316 Brake Switch As .
Cut the ring terminals from the two harness wires that were formerly attached to the 118-4316 Brake Switch As .
Install a 186-3736 Connector Socket onto each of the two harness wires.
Insert one harness wire (with crimped 186-3736 Connector Socket ) into location 1 of the connector that is included in the 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit. Insert the remaining harness wire into location 2 of the connector that is included in the 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit .
Install the two 8T-8737 Seal Plugs into the remaining locations (locations 3 and 4) of the new harness connector.
To secure the connections, install the wedge (included with the 155-2271 Connecting Plug Kit ) into the new harness connector.
Mate the new harness connector with the connector from the 218-3262 Parking Brake Switch Gp .
Test the 218-3262 Parking Brake Switch Gp for correct operation.
