Remove the seals and bearings that are listed in Table 4 from the stick nose. Refer to Illustration 3 and Illustration 4.

Remove lip seal (1) .

Fasten tool (A) and a suitable lifting device.
Use tool (A) in order to remove the former sleeve bearing.
Repeat Step 5 through Step 7 in order to remove the former lip seal and the former sleeve bearing from the other side of the stick.Installation Procedure For The New 234-3749 Sleeve Bearing

Lower the temperature of new sleeve bearings (3). Use tool (B) in order to install the new bearings in the stick nose. Install the new bearings until dimension (G) is 9.5 0.8 mm (0.37 0.03 inch) below the outside surface of the stick.

(3) 234-3749 Sleeve Bearing
Use tool (B) in order to install new lip seal (3). Install the new lip seal with the sealing lip toward the outside of the stick. Install the new lip seal until the seal makes contact with the bearing.
Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 on the opposite side of the stick.Note: Make sure that the pin bore in the stick is clean prior to installation of the new sleeve bearings and lip seals.
Install the bucket. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual that is appropriate for your machine.
