Service Brake Pedal - Push down the service brake pedal to stop or to slow the machine, and to keep the engine from overspeeding on a downgrade.Secondary Brake (Red Lever)
If the service brake pressure is lost, pull the lever down and hold to apply the secondary brake. Release the secondary brake lever and it will return to the OFF position. Hold the lever down until the machine stops.Retarder

Pull the retarder lever down to apply the brakes. Push the lever up to release the brakes. The control lever position determines the amount of braking. The further down the control is pulled, the greater the braking effort.Accelerator
The accelerator pedal controls the fuel flow to the engine. The further the pedal is pushed to the floor, the higher the rpm.Elevated Low Idle Control
this controls the rpm's the operator wants to hold during long periods of working the machine in cold weather conditions. After the rpm is set with the accelerator, push the knob in to lock the accelerator in that rpm. Pull the knob to release.1. Start the engine. Engage the parking brake. Push in on the control knob. Check the rpm. It should be between 1250 and 1325 rpm.2. If the rpm falls within the range shown above, no further action is necessary. If the rpm is incorrect, an adjustment is necessary. For adjustment procedures, See Special Instruction SEHS9375, Installation of Elevated Low Idle Control. Look under the topic, Adjustment Procedure of elevated Low Idle Control.Engine Shutdown Handle (Normal shutdown is with key start switch)

Remove the keys. (Remove the disconnect switch key only if the machine is to be parked for an extended period of time.)Turn the steering wheel right and left as far as possible in both directions, until the machine front wheels will not move. This discharges the pressure in the steering accumulators.Transmission Selector Lever
