(1) 4T-4162 Relief Valve Gp rod endField service reports indicate that the rod end, Tilt Cylinder Line Relief Valve (1) may fail, due to score marks on the valve seat, causing bypass. Failure is often observed at low hours of machine operation. A failed 4T-4162 Relief Valve Gp may prevent the bucket from holding position when loaded. Solution
Caterpillar is aware of the problem, but an interim solution has not yet been defined.In the event of a failed 4T-4162 Relief Valve Gp (1) replace with a new 4T-4162 Relief Valve Gp (1).
