Oil that is hot and under high pressure can cause injury. To prevent injury; all pressure in the hydraulic system must be released before any hydraulic lines are disconnected. To release the pressure in the hydraulic system, stop the engine, and move the implement control levers to all positions. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before work is done on the hydraulic system.
1. Remove bolt (1) from the pin, and remove bar assembly (2). 2. Remove bolts (3) that hold guard (4) and the lever to the cylinder. 3. Remove bolts (7) and (6) that hold bracket (8) in place. Remove bracket (8) and the bucket positioner and kickout as a unit.4. Put identification on oil lines (5). Disconnect oil lines (5) at both ends, and remove. 5. Remove bolt (9) and grease fitting (10) from the pin at both ends of the tilt cylinder. 6. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the tilt cylinder.7. Install tooling (B) as shown, and fasten a hoist to the tooling. A hoist must be fastened so the tooling will not fall when the pin is pulled out of the cylinder. Use tooling (B) to remove the pins from both ends of the tilt cylinder. 8. Remove tilt cylinder (11) from the machine. Weight of the 943 tilt cylinder is 87 kg (193 lb.). Weight of the 953 tilt cylinder is 135 kg (300 lb.).Install Tilt Cylinder
1. Put clean grease on the pin bearings in the tilt cylinder. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the tilt cylinder as shown. Put the tilt cylinder in position on the machine. Weight of 943 tilt cylinder is 87 kg (193 lb.). Weight of the 953 tilt cylinder is 135 kg (300 lb.). 2. Install pin (1) to hold the head end of the tilt cylinder in place. Install the bolt that holds pin (1) in place. Install the grease fitting in pin (1). 3. Install oil lines (2). 4. Start the machine, and move the rod of the tilt cylinder out or in until the hole in the rod is in alignment with the hole in the lever. Install pin (3) and the bolt that holds the pin in place.5. Install the grease fitting in pin (3). 6. Put the bracket for the bucket positioner and kickout in position on the tilt cylinder, and install the bolts in holes (4) and (5). Tighten the bolt in hole (4) to the standard torque. Tighten the bolts in holes (5) to the correct torque.943 = 565 80 N m (420 60 lb.ft.).953 = 875 100 N m (640 80 lb.ft.). 7. Put guard (6) in position on the cylinder, and install the two bolts that hold it in place. 8. Put bar assembly (7) in position, and install bolt (8) that holds the bar in position on the pin. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 360 50 N m (265 35 lb.ft.).9. Check the oil level in the
