Attach a suitable retainer around oscillating axle (3), around trunnion support (8), and around yoke (7). This will prevent trunnion support (8) and yoke (7) from falling as oscillating axle (3) is being installed.
Attach a suitable lifting device to each side of oscillating axle (3). Attach Tooling (A) to the suitable lifting devices. The weight of oscillating axle (3) is approximately 1225 kg (2700 lb). Raise oscillating axle (3) into position on the machine.
Install bolts (9) that hold trunnion support (8) to the frame of the machine. Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 475 60 N m (350 44 lb ft).

Install bolts (5) that hold trunnion support (6) to the frame of the machine. Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 475 60 N m (350 44 lb ft).
Connect tube assembly (4) to trunnion support (6) .

The steering cylinder guards were removed for photographic purposes.
Connect tube assembly (1). Connect hose assembly (2), if equipped.
Fill the oscillating axle with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change".End By:
Install the crankcase guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Remove and Install".
Install the power train guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Train Guard (Transmission) - Remove and Install".
Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install".
Install the rear compactor wheels. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Compactor Wheel - Install".
