Do not operate the wiper motor before the wiper arm assembly is installed.A new wiper motor is preset in the parked position. If the wiper motor is operated before installation of the wiper arm assembly, misalignment will occur. This can cause damage to the wiper motor, the wiper arm assembly, and/or the window.Do not manually rotate the wiper arm assembly on the shaft.

Support wiper motor assembly (4) inside the cab. Install wiper motor assembly (4) , plate (11) , the gasket, bolt (10) , and retaining nut (12) . Tighten retaining nut (12) to a torque of 19 1 N m (14 1 lb ft).
Connect harness assembly (5) to wiper motor assembly (4) .

Install cap (9) .

Push the wiper arm assembly straight onto the tapered shaft. If the wiper arm assembly is not installed straight when the shaft turns, the splines will be improperly formed and damage will occur.
Note: Cut hose (7) . Use Tooling (A) to reconnect hose (7) .

Position wiper arm assembly (6) on the tapered shaft at 110 40 mm (4.3 1.6 inch) from the lower edge of the glass. Refer to Dimension (A) in Illustration 5. Tighten bolt (8) to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft).
Connect hose (7) . Note: DO NOT use petroleum lubricants on the hose ends. DO NOT stretch the hose between connection points. This will cause damage to the hose.

Install interior panel (1) , screws (3) , and screws (2) .End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
