The 9G-2653 Fuel Hose needs to be replaced on the products listed below. The existing 9G-2653 Fuel Hose may rupture. A fuel leak may, in conjunction with other factors or circumstances, result in a risk of personal injury or death. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated.

Rework Procedure
Before beginning the following Rework Procedure, please review the safety information in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
1.) Drain any fuel from the engine.
2.) Remove the 9G-2653 Fuel Hose Assembly.
3.) It is necessary to remove the 5P-8228 Flared Reducer from each end of the 9G-2653 Fuel Hose Assembly.
4.) Rotate the 90 degree elbow in Image1.1.1 approximately 45 degrees upward to it's new position, as shown in Image1.1.2.
5.) Final installation must not have any contact with the other hoses or other parts.
