WHEEL LOADER,
Information:
A. Variable Amplitude
1. Amplitude is defined as the vertical range of motion of the drum.2. Amplitude is created by the dynamic force of rotating eccentric weights. Amplitude range is operator controlled.3. The 303A and 304A have two modes of amplitude known as "high" and "low" amplitude.4. In "high" amplitude (1200 to 1700 VPM) vertical drum movement is .106".5. In "low" amplitude (1200 to 2300 VPM) vertical drum movement is .060".B. "High" Amplitude
HIGH AMPLITUDE1. In "high" amplitude the operator controlled actuator rod (located on the right end of the drum) is pushed all the way in towards the weight assembly.2. This locks the counter weights to the eccentric weight shaft.3. With the locked position of the counter weights an unbalanced condition exists leading to a "high" range of amplitude.C. "Low" Amplitude
LOW AMPLITUDE1. In "low" amplitude the actuator rod is pulled away from the weights.2. This unlocks the counter weights from the eccentric weight shaft.3. When the weight assembly is rotated centrifugal force moves the counter weight away from the eccentric weight shaft creating a condition of limited unbalance leading to a low range of amplitude.
