Information:

Hydraulic Activation Control Lever
Locked - Move all controls to the HOLD position. Move the lever back to the locked position. This makes all factory installed hydraulic controls inoperable.
To start the engine, be sure to put the hydraulic activation control lever in the LOCKED position. If the lever is in the UNLOCKED position, the engine start switch will not function.
Unlocked - Move the lever forward to the unlocked position. This makes the factory installed hydraulic controls operable.Boom, Stick, Swing and Equipment Controls
The pattern of the equipment control levers can be varied by changing the way the control hoses are connected. See your Caterpillar dealer for the procedure. Some patterns may not be available in your area. See your Caterpillar dealer.
(A) SAE System. (B) MHI System. (C) KOB System. (D) Standard Backhoe Loader System. (E) SCM System.The patterns in the left and right columns are as they would apply to the left and right equipment control levers. Stick Out (1) - Move the lever here to move the stick out. Swing Right (2) - Move the lever here to swing the upper structure to the right. Stick In (3) - Move the lever here to move the stick in. Swing Left (4) - Move the lever here to swing the upper structure to the left. Boom Lower (5) - Move the lever here to lower the boom. Bucket Dump (6) - Move the lever here to dump the bucket. Boom Raise (7) - Move the lever here to raise the boom. Bucket Close (8) - Move the lever here to close the bucket. Hold (9) - When the lever is released from any position, the lever will return to HOLD. Swing, stick, bucket or boom movement will stop.Two functions may be performed at the same time by moving the lever diagonally.If Equipped With a Hydraulic Hammer
Hammer Raise (6) - Move the lever here to raise the hammer. Hammer Lower (8) - Move the lever here to lower the hammer.Changing Machine Control Pattern If Equipped With a 2-Way Valve
Whenever a change is made to the machines control pattern also exchange the pattern card in the cab to match the new pattern.Check machine control pattern for conformance to pattern on card in cab. If not, change card to match pattern before operating machine. Failure to do so could result in injury.
If the machine is equipped with the 2-way valve, the machine control pattern can easily be changed to either the SAE system or the BHL (Standard Backhoe Loader) system by changing the 2-way valve position. To change the 2-way valve position, use the following procedure.The 2-way valve, if equipped, is located at the left front of the main control valves. Loosen bolt (1) and place lever (2) in the correct position. To select the BHL system, turn lever (2) fully clockwise. To select the SAE system, turn lever (2) fully counterclockwise. After turning lever (2) to the desired position, tighten bolt (1) securely.Hydraulic Hammer Controls (If Equipped)
