(1) Propulsion lever
(2) Vibratory control switch Vibratory control switch (2) is located on top of propulsion lever (1). The vibratory control switch is a push-button switch. The switch contacts are momentary. The vibratory control switch serves as the master switch for the vibratory system.Propulsion lever (1) communicates with the machine ECM through the CAN. Each time the operator presses vibratory control switch (2) an input signal is sent to the machine ECM. The machine ECM toggles the status of the vibratory system between off and on with each input signal. When the engine start switch is first moved to the ON position, the status of the vibratory system defaults to off.

(10) Automatic mode indicator The keypad is located on the right console. The keypad contains the following vibratory system switches:
Increase frequency switch (4)
Decrease frequency switch (5)
Amplitude selection switch (6)
Vibratory mode switch (7)Each of the above switches provides an input signal to the machine ECM through the CAN. The machine ECM uses the input from these switches in order to determine the desired operating conditions for the vibratory system.Increase frequency switch (4) and decrease frequency switch (5) are used to change the vibratory frequency. These switches are active only on machines with the variable frequency vibratory system.Frequency indicators (3) provide the operator with an indication of the currently selected vibratory frequency. Vibratory frequency can range from 1400 50 VPM to 1830 50 VPM. At the low end of the range, only the bottom indicator is illuminated. At the high end of the range, all the indicators are illuminated. Each indicator represents a change in vibratory frequency of approximately 50 vibrations per minute. Each time the frequency is changed, a pop-up window appears on the display. The pop-up window shows the currently chosen vibratory frequency. The machine ECM stores the last active frequency value in memory. This action allows the system to start up at the last chosen frequency after the engine start switch has been cycled through the OFF position.Amplitude selection switch (6) allows the operator to select either low amplitude operation or high amplitude operation. With each depression of the switch, the machine ECM toggles the amplitude status.High amplitude indicator (8) is illuminated when the amplitude status is set to high. Low amplitude indicator (9) is illuminated when the amplitude status is set to low. Each time the operator changes the amplitude, a pop-up window appears on the display. The pop-up window shows the currently chosen amplitude status. The machine ECM stores the currently chosen amplitude status in memory. This action allows the system to start up in the last chosen amplitude after the engine start switch has been cycled through the OFF position.Vibratory mode switch (7) allows the operator to select either manual operation or automatic operation. With each actuation of the switch, the machine ECM toggles the active vibratory mode. When the vibratory
