Introduction
The following test is used to test the torque converter inlet oil pressure.The pressure will vary depending on your particular machine configuration.
There are three different High Idle engine speeds: 2225 RPM, 2100 RPM, and 1950 RPM.
There are two different configurations for rear gear train lubrication, refer to Service Magazine, SEPD1706, New Flywheel Housing Lubrication Line Routing on 24M Motor Graders to verify which type is installed on your machine.

Engage the parking brake.

Remove elbow (1) from the tube and the transmission control valve.
Place O-Ring Seal (D) around the end of O-Ring Tee (C). Insert O-Ring Tee (C) into the transmission control valve. Attach the tube to O-Ring Tee (C).
Attach adapter union (B) to O-Ring Tee (C). Insert fitting (A) into adapter union (B).
Attach pressure indicator (D) to fitting (A).Test Procedure
Start the engine and run the engine at HIGH IDLE with the transmission in NEUTRAL. Refer to Table 1 for the correct torque converter inlet oil pressure.
When the test is complete stop the engine. Remove the test equipment. Connect elbow (1) with the tube and the transmission control valve.
