Remove covers in front of cab. Retain all parts for reassembly.

24-pin connector
Locate the 24-pin connector on the front of the cab, connector RV-C6. Refer to Schematic , KENR6663 for details. Remove the protective cap from the connector.
Turn on the battery disconnect switch and turn the ignition switch to the run position. Do not start the machine.Use a multi-meter to check for voltage at pin 1. Voltage should be 24V.
If voltage is present, turn the engine ignition switch off. Return the battery disconnect switch to the Off position. Proceed to step 3.
If voltage is not present, turn the engine ignition switch off. Return the battery disconnect switch to the Off position.

Dash panel
Working inside the cab, remove the four screws that retain the dash and tilt the component forward without disconnecting the wiring harnesses.
Locate pin 44 on the 70-pin connector behind the dash. The connector is located in the upper left corner of the cab front panel, connector P-C50. Reference Schematic , UENR1294 for more details. Working inside the cab, splice between this connection and pin 1 of the 24-pin connector that was previously checked, connector RV-C6.
Reassemble the dash and proceed to step 3.

Connect the end of switch harness as (23) to the front of the cab in the location shown. Use three washers (4), three bolts (6), one clip (8), and one bracket as (21) to secure switch harness as (23).
Install plate as (19) to the machine using existing hardware. Install grommet (22) on switch harness as (23) and attach to plate as (19) using two blocks (18), plate (17), two washers (4) and two locknuts (15).

Route switch harness as (23) as shown using existing mounting points. Install one plate as (20) to the machine using two bolts (6) and two washers (4).
Install grommets (22) onto the switch harness as (23) and attach to plate as (20) using two blocks (18), plate (17), two washers (4) and two locknuts (15).

Use existing hardware to secure ladder clip (16) in the location and orientation shown. Use one cable strap (2) to secure the CAN resistor to the harness.
Install spacer (13), ladder clip (12), washer (4) and bolt (11) as shown in the. Secure switch harness as (23) to the ladder clips using two cable straps (2).

Install clip (8) onto switch harness as (23). Secure clip (8) on the harness using two washers (4), bolt (6), nut (14) and bracket (5).Note the orientation of the bracket. This bracket will be bolted to the outside surface of the cover utilizing the cover mounting hardware that was removed in step 1. The bracket can be positioned temporarily using the appropriate cover mounting hardware.
Use cable strap (2) to secure switch harness as (23) in front of the center shift.

Use six cable straps (2) to secure switch harness as (23) to the adjacent harness that is routed in this area.
