Right Side of Engine (1) Outlet line (2) Fan pump (3) Suction lineFan pump (2) is located in the engine compartment, on the right side of the machine. The engine compartment hood provides access to this component.Fan pump (2) is the first section of a two section gear pump. The steering pump is the second section of this pump. The engine drives the fan pump. Fan pump (2) and the steering pump share an inlet line. A suction strainer in the inlet line provides initial filtration for the fan pump and the steering pump.Flow from fan pump (2) is sent to the fan motor through fan outlet line (1). After the supply oil flows through the fan motor, the return oil of the motor is combined with the return oil from the steering hydraulic system. This combined oil is sent to the charge filter. After flowing through the charge filter, the combined oil then becomes charge oil for the vibratory hydraulic system and for the propel system.Note: If the machine is equipped with a blade, a portion of the hydraulic flow from the fan motor is directed to the blade valve.
