Rear of Machine (1) Water tank (2) Fill portThe following machines are equipped with a water spray system which distributes water to the drums in order to prevent asphalt from sticking during operation: CB22, CB24 and CB32. The CC24 is also equipped with a tire wetting system which distributes emulsion to the tires to prevent asphalt from sticking.Water tank (1) is located at the rear of the machine. The water tank is made of black polyethylene in order to reduce algae growth and the black polyethylene prevents corrosion. Fill port (2) for water tank (1) contains a screen that prevents large debris from entering the water tank when the tank is being filled. The capacity of the water tank is 150 L (39.6 US gpm).

Right Side of Machine (3) Water spray filter (4) Drain valveWater spray filter (3) is located under the operator platform. The filter can be accessed through the right step.When the water spray motor is operating, the pump draws water from the water tank through water spray filter (3). Drain valve (4) is located at the bottom of the filter.

Location is Under the Operator Platform (5) Water spray motor and pump groupThe water spray motor and pump group (5) is located on the right side of the machine and under the operator platform. This component can be accessed through the right step. The water spray motor and pump group (5) consists of a 12 volt electric motor which drives a diaphragm type pump. When the motor is operating, the pump draws water from the water tank through the filter. The pump then delivers the water to the spray bars.

Front And/or Rear of Machine (6) Spray bar (7) Spray nozzlesWater spray bar (6) delivers water to spray nozzles (7). The front spray bar is equipped with four nozzles. The rear spray bar is equipped with four nozzles. The spray nozzles can be oriented by hand or with a screwdriver in order to optimize the drum coverage.On double drum machines, the forward and rear spray bars distribute water to the front and rear drums. On combi machines, the front spray bar distributes water to the front drum and the rear spray bar can distribute either water or emulsion to the rear wheels.Each spray nozzle (7) is equipped with a mesh filter and a check valve. The check valve reduces water leakage when the system is not being used. The mesh filter and the check valve can be disassembled for cleaning.
