The IQAN then sends current to the corresponding proportional solenoids in implement control valve (12). As the joystick is moved further from the HOLD position the current increases. As the current increases, the speed of the function increases.The magnitude of the current to the proportional solenoids controls the movement of the solenoids. The movement of the solenoids controls the flow of oil to the cylinders and the grapple rotator. Increased oil flow will increase the speed of the function.The boom can be tilted with boom tilt toggle switch (3) in the cab of the machine. When the operator presses the switch, a voltage flows to the IQAN. The IQAN then sends a current to the two proportional solenoids for tilting the boom in implement control valve (12) .Oil flows from the implement control valve, through diverter valve (6), and to boom tilt cylinder (5). The diverter valve is used on machines that are equipped with a gate horizontal cylinder.When the switch for the horizontal gate is activated a voltage signal is sent to the IQAN. The IQAN sends a signal to the solenoid and to diverter valve (6) .The operation is similar to an on/off solenoid. The oil flows through the boom tilt section to diverter valve (6). The diverter valve moves to the right. This opens the circuit to the gate horizontal cylinder. The boom tilt cylinder is locked.Operation of the Grapple Rotator

When pressure oil enters ports (A) or (B) of rotor (13) the grapple rotates. The oil enters the chamber of stator frame (16). The oil forces vanes (15) to rotate shaft (14). The shaft forces stator (17) and the grapple to rotate.Note: Ports on the opposite side of the grapple rotator are used for oil flow to the grapple cylinder. The oil enters the ports and exits through ports in the bottom of the grapple rotator.
