Position one final drive so that the drain plug (3) is at the bottom.Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information on Containing Fluid Spillage.
Remove the oil level plug (2) .
Remove the oil drain plug. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.Note: Use the oil that was drained from the final drive for the S O S.
Clean the drain plug. Reinstall the oil drain plug. Use 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads to prevent leakage.
Remove the filler plug (1). Add oil to the final drive through the opening for the filler plug until oil begins to flow out of the opening for the oil level plug. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".
Clean the oil level plug. Reinstall the oil level plug. Use 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads of the oil level plug.
Clean the oil filler plug. Reinstall the oil filler plug. Use 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads of the oil filler plug.
Repeat the procedure for the other final drive.
Start the engine and allow the final drives to run through several cycles.
Stop the engine. Check the oil level in both final drives.
Properly dispose of the drained material. Obey local regulations for the disposal of the material.
