Move the machine to a hard, level surface.
Engage the parking brake and stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock.
Release the steering system oil pressure.Reference: Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.Test Procedure

(1) Fitting
(2) Hose assembly
Disconnect hose assembly (2) from fitting (1). Plug hose assembly (2).
Connect Tooling (C) to fitting (1). Install Tooling (B) between fitting (1) and Tooling (C).
Operate Tooling (C) until the steering crossover relief valve opens. Refer to Table 3 for the correct pressure.
If the pressure is incorrect, continue with "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure

(5) Locknut
Loosen locknut (4). Turn adjusting screw (5) clockwise to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjusting screw (5) counterclockwise to decrease the pressure setting.
After the correct pressure setting has been obtained, tighten locknut (4). Refer to Table 2 for the tightening torque. Recheck the pressure setting.
Remove the test equipment and connect the hose assembly.
If necessary, perform "Test Procedure" and "Adjustment Procedure" for the right side steering cylinder crossover relief valve.
Release the steering system pressure.Reference: Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.Test Preparation
Move the machine to a hard, level surface.
Engage the parking brake and stop the engine.
Install the steering frame lock.
Release the steering system oil pressure.Reference: Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.Test Procedure
Test Bench
Remove the steering crossover relief valves. Plug the manifold.
Place the steering crossover relief valve on a test bench.
Test the relief pressure of the steering crossover relief valve. Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
If the pressure setting is incorrect, continue with "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure

Loosen locknut (4). Turn adjusting screw (5) clockwise to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjusting screw (5) counterclockwise to decrease the pressure setting.
After the correct pressure setting has been obtained, tighten locknut (4). Refer to Table 2 for the tightening torque. Recheck the pressure setting.
Install the steering crossover relief valves. Refer to Table 2 for the installation torque.
