Upper drive shaft (1) 0S-1748 Bolt (2) 3V-2431 Washer
Remove the upper drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Upper) - Remove and Install".Note: Discard eight 0S-1748 Bolts (1) and eight 3V-2431 Washers (2) .

Remove and discard Item (3) and Item (4) .Note: Remove and install one item at a time in order for the transmission mount to remain in position.
Apply Loctite 7649 to the thread where six 0S-1585 Bolts (3) where removed.
Install Item (3) and Item (4). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Output Transfer Gears - Install" for the correct tightening torque specifications.
Install the upper drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Upper) - Remove and Install".Note: Install eight 0S-1748 Bolts (1) and eight 3V-2431 Washers (2). Refer to Illustration 1.
