The three-point hitch control lever is located on the right hand operator's console immediately to the right of the seat. Its fore and aft motion allows the operator to control the position and movement of the three-point hitch. The FORWARD position lowers the hitch and the REAR position raises the hitch.Operating Mode
In this mode, the hitch positions itself relative to the handle position and automatically corrects for any drift that may occur. This mode is activated by placing the mode switch in the OPERATING MODE position. The hitch follows the movement of the lever but its velocity is limited by:(1) engine speed when raising,(2) the lack of weight on the hitch when lowering,(3) the control itself, which helps avoid damage to tools by limiting the downward speed of the hitch and implement.Draft Control
This mode allows the implement to raise from its set depth in response to engine lug. It works only with the three-point hitch. The control automatically resets itself to actuate the hitch raise at 1900 rpm each time the key switch is turned off and on again. The control also lowers the implement in response to engine speed above the set rpm. In addition to the visible switch in the cab, there is a throttle position sensing switch accessible through the side cab panel. That switch should be adjusted to enable operation of this underspeed control only when the throttle is in HIGH IDLE position. If an actuation (lift) rpm other than 1900 is desired (between 1850 and 2050), set the throttle at that speed with the engine running and push the draft control switch momentarily to the SET position. The principle advantage of the draft control results in a greater average tiller depth in a given gear, and more ground speed assuming there are variations in hardness of the soil. The operator can set the depth (position) control at the maximum desired depth and let the control compensate for the spots that would otherwise cause him to downshift, slip or manually raise the implement. The movement of the hitch is very slight, and much faster than if done manually.Adjustable Depth Stop
The maximum operating depth of the hitch and implement can be set with an adjustable mechanical stop that limits the travel of
