( 1 ) The 198-4234 Pressure Gauge Tool Gp and the 198-4236 Adapter Cable As are part of the 198-4240 Digital Pressure Indicator .Note: The following procedure describes the steps which are used to test and adjust the tow point pressure reducing valve on the right side of the machine. The procedure for testing and adjusting the tow point pressure reducing valve on the opposite side of the machine is similar.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Open access door (8) on the right side of the machine.

Assemble Tool (B). Connect Tool (B) to port "G2" (9) on the right tow point control valve. Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A) .
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch after the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch actuation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Read pressure on Tool (A). The pressure should be 6900 345 kPa (1000 50 psi).
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
If the pressure is not in the specified range, go to Step 19. If the pressure is within the specified range, go to Step 22.

Loosen lock nut (11) on the pressure reducing valve. In order to increase pressure, rotate adjustment screw (10) clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate the adjustment
