Conduits
Sufficient space must be provided when conduits enter the switchgear or raceways for cable enter the switchgear. This space must be provided in order to permit the proper bending of cables. Sufficient clearances must be maintained between energized components. Review the publication "National Electric Code". Refer to Section 384-10 of the code.Grounding
Install a ground cable from the ground electrode for the site to the ground bus bar for the switchgear. Review the "National Electric Code". See Sections 250-91(a), 250-92(a), 250-93 and or 250-94 for further details and requirements concerning the sizing of the ground wire.The publication "NFPA No. 70HB96" is available from the National Fire Protection Association.
