Start By:a. remove tilt linkage plates
Be sure lever assembly (1) is resting on the lift arms before removal of pin (3). Unexpected movement of the lever can cause bodily injury.
1. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to the tilt cylinder, or put wood blocks between the tilt cylinders and the lift arms. Be sure lever assembly (1) is resting on the lift arms before removal of pin (3) so that the lever assembly does not move unexpectedly after removal of pin (3).2. Remove the bolts, washers and lockplate (2). Remove pin (3) from the lever assembly (1). 3. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to lever assembly (6). Note the location washers (4) for assembly.4. Remove bolt and washer (7), and remove pin (5) and washers (4) from the lever assembly.5. Remove the lever assembly from the machine.6. Remove the lip-type seals (8) if they are damaged or if the bearing is to be removed.7. Use tooling (A), and remove the bearings from lever assembly (6) if necessary. The following steps are for the installation of the tilt lever assemblies (front).8. Lower the temperature of all bearings to be installed.9. Use tooling (A), and install bearings in lever assembly (6) until they are centered in their bores.10. Use tooling (B) and install lip-type seals (8) on each side of the bearings so that the lip of the seals point toward the outside.11. Be sure all pins slide freely in their bores before assembly.12. Lubricate all pins, pin bores and seals with 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease before assembly.13. Install lever assembly (6) in the reverse order of removal.14. Be sure washers (4) are installed in their original positions.15. If any loader linkage parts have been replaced by new ones, add or subtract washers (4) so that the lever assemblies are centered in the coupler.16.
