Hydraulic Activation Control
The hydraulic implement and machine controls are "live" even if the engine is not running.Sudden and unexpected machine and/or implement movement will occur if any of the controls are moved. This can cause personal injury or death.Always move the hydraulic and directional lock lever to the LOCKED position before shutting off the engine or immediately after the engine quits running.
Hydraulic Function Locked - Move all controls to the HOLD position. Move the lever back to the locked position. Hydraulic Function Unlocked - Move the lever forward to the unlocked position.Swing and Stick Control
The following hydraulic control levers can be changed to three other patterns by repositioning the control hoses. See your Caterpillar dealer for the procedure. Stick Out (1.) - Move the lever forward to move the stick out. Swing Right (2.) - Move the lever to the right to swing the upper structure to the right. Stick In (3.) - Move the lever to the rear to move the stick in. Swing Left (4.) - Move the lever to the left to swing the upper structure to the left. 5. Hold - When the lever is released from any position, the lever will return to HOLD. Stick and swing movement should stop.Stick and swing functions may be performed at the same time. For example, to move the stick out and swing right at the same time, move the lever forward and to the right.Bucket and Boom Control
Boom Lower (1.) - Move the lever forward to lower the boom. Bucket Dump (2.) - Move the lever to the right to dump the bucket. Boom Raise (3.) - Move the lever back to raise the boom. Bucket Close (4.) - Move the lever to the left to close the bucket. 5. Hold - When released from any position, the lever will return to HOLD. Boom and bucket movement should stop.Bucket and boom functions can be performed at the same time. For example, to lower the boom and dump the bucket at the same time, move the lever forward and to the right.
