4. Turn manifold over and install No. 4 clutch balance piston housing (7).5. Install bearing and snap ring in balance piston. Install seal rings. Install balance piston (8) in manifold.6. Install shaft (9). Install snap ring that holds the bearing. Install piston ring type seal and install snap ring (10) on the shaft.7. Install No. 4 clutch piston (11) and seal (12).8. Install clutch and sun gear (13) with piston seal rings and install piston retaining ring (14).9. Install No. 4 clutch discs and plate (15).10. Install No. 4 clutch springs and pins (16). Install the No. 5 carrier (17).11. Install No. 4 clutch retaining bolts (19). Install No. 6 sun gear (18).12. Install No. 7 clutch sun gear (20). Lift the shaft enough to install the snap ring (21) that holds No. 6 and No. 7 sun gears.13. Install No. 5 clutch plate (23). Install No. 5 clutch ring gear (22).14. Install No. 5 clutch discs and plate (24).15. Install springs and pins (25) in plate.16. Install No. 5 clutch piston (26) with seal in No. 5 clutch housing.17. Install tool (B) on the housing to hold the piston in place. Fasten a hoist and put No. 5 clutch housing (27) in position on the manifold.18. Install two bolts (28) in the No. 5 clutch housing.19. Install No. 6 clutch ring gear (20) with bolts (30) and locks.20. Install No. 6 clutch discs and plate (31).21. Assemble No. 6 and No. 7 carrier assembly. Fasten a hoist to No. 6 and No. 7 carrier assembly (32) and install it in the housing.22. Install snap ring (33) over carrier bearing.23. Install No. 6 clutch springs (34).24. Install No. 6 clutch piston (35) and seals in housing.25. Install tool (B) on the housing to hold the piston in place. Fasten a hoist and put No. 6 clutch housing (36) in position on the manifold.26. Install No. 6 clutch ring gear (38). Install No. 7 clutch discs and plates (37).27. Install pins and springs (39).28. Install No. 7 clutch piston (40) and seals in housing.29. Install tool (B) on the housing to hold the piston in place. Fasten a hoist to No. 7 clutch housing (41) and put it in position on the housing.30. Install the clutch retaining bolts (42) and tighten to a torque of 85 5 lb.ft. (11.8 0.7 mkg).31. Fasten a hoist and put the transmission on the output end. Install No. 3 clutch discs and plates (44). Install springs and pins (43).32. Install No. 3 clutch piston (46) and seals on No. 3 plates and discs. Install No. 3 housing (45) on piston.33. Install bolts (47) in No. 3 clutch housing and tighten to a torque of 36 2 lb.ft. (5.0 0.3 mkg).34. Install washers, bearings, gears, shafts, and pins in No. 2 carrier housing.35. Install bearing in center manifold with tooling (A). Install piston seal rings on manifold.36. Install center manifold (48).37. Install seals (50) and No. 1 clutch piston (49).38.
