Dear Cat Product Owner:
The Switch Panel Module needs to be reflashed on the products listed below. The existing Switch Panel Module can, under conditions of severe electromagnetic interference, send out erroneous CAN messages to other ECMs on the machine. This may, in conjunction with other factors or circumstances, result in a risk of personal injury or death. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated.

Rework Procedure
1. Key-off the machine.
2. Open side panel on the left side of the machine to access the controllers (Refer to Image1.1.1).
3. Remove the 324-5678 CAN resistor 120 ohm from the CAN data link harness:
(1) Push the little red lever on the connector to the top to unlock it (Refer to Image1.1.2),
(2) afterwards press the black detent
to remove the connector from the CAN data link harness (Refer to Image1.1.3).
