Use Tooling (D) to install retainer ring (21).

Install impeller assembly (18) on the housing.
Install bolts (17) and tighten to a torque of 60 7 N m (44.0 5.0 lb ft).

Install bearing (15) on shaft (14).
Install seal ring (16).

Install shaft assembly (14) in the rotating group.
Install retainer ring (13) with Tooling (A).

Install both bearings (11) and retaining rings (12) in housing (7).

Lower the temperature of both drive gear assemblies (40) and install the assemblies in housing (7).

Install retaining rings (9) and (10) on the drive gear shafts.

Install Tooling (C) and position housing (7) over torque converter assembly (8).
Install bolts (6).

Install sensor (5) in the carrier. Adjust sensor (5) in order to obtain a 0.89 mm (0.035 inch) air gap.

Install yoke (4), O-ring seal (3), retainer (2) and bolt (1). Tighten bolt (1) to 105 15 N m (75.0 11.0 lb ft). End By:
Install the torque converter outlet relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Install".
Install the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter - Install".
