Remove O-ring seal (28) and bearing (29) .

Remove rotating group (31) from housing (24) . Carefully retain the rotating assembly (31) in housing (24) . Turn the rotating assembly upside-down. Slowly lift housing (24) off rotating group (31) .

Note: Mark the location of pistons for assembly purposes.
Remove plate (33) and pistons (32) from barrel (34) .

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to compress spring (37) . Compress spring (37) until retaining ring (36) can be removed from barrel (34) with Tooling (B) . Slowly release the pressure on the press because of the spring pressure. Remove barrel (34) from the suitable press. Remove spring (37) , retaining disc (38) , and pressure pins (39) .

Remove plug (40) and the O-ring seal from housing (24) .

Remove piston (41) from housing (24) .

Note: The rod is engaged in the socket by the edges of the socket. Extreme care must be used in order to disengage the rod from the socket. Remove the actuator rod out of the smooth shaped socket.
Angle the swashplate (42) so rod (43) extends out of the bore. Remove rod (43) from the socket in swashplate (42) .

Remove swashplate (42) from housing (24) . Check the condition of the socket in swashplate (42) .

Remove spring (44) , shaft (46) , and bearings (45) .
If necessary, press bearing off shaft (46) .

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove retaining ring (47) from housing (24) .
Remove seal (48) and the bearing cup from housing (24) .
