Information:


Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Tool Configuration
Assemble the tooling.

Open access door (8) on the left side of the machine.

Disconnect fitting (9) from elbow (10) in port "L1" of the left motor. Note: If the right conveyor motor is being tested, disconnect the fitting from the elbow in port "L2".
Connect Tool (B) to elbow (10). Connect Tool (A) to fitting (9) .Note: Make sure the flow meter is oriented correctly with respect to the flow being measured.
Disconnect fitting (11) from elbow (12) in port "A" of the left conveyor motor. Plug fitting (11) with Tool (G). Cap elbow (12) with Tool (H) .Note: If the right conveyor motor is being tested, disconnect the fitting from the elbow in the port "B". The ports are labeled on the motor.
Disconnect fitting (13) on flushing line from elbow (14). Plug fitting (13) with Tool (J). Cap elbow (14) with Tool (K) .
Move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch actuation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Move left conveyor switch (15) to the MANUAL position. Hold the switch in this position.Note: If the right conveyor motor is being tested, move right conveyor switch (16) to the MANUAL position.
Read the flow on Tool (F). The flow should be less than 4.5 L/m (1.2 US gpm).
Release conveyor switch (15) .
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
Remove the tooling. Reconnect the hydraulic lines to the conveyor motor.
If the flow is greater than the specification, the motor has excessive case drain flow. Repair or replace the motor.
