The new brake hub and new friction discs have changed in design. The previous design was of five pitch tooth. The new design is of four pitch tooth. This design change reduces tooth bending stress by approximately 30%.Adaptable To: The 6G-9385 Service and Parking Brake Gp has been upgraded. The new 198-1137 Friction Disc is a direct replacement for the former 7T-2815 Friction Disc. The new 245-6465 Brake Hub is a direct replacement for the former 136-7003 Brake Hub. The new 198-1450 Plate is a direct replacement for the former 8X-2463 Plate. In order to make this change, all three parts must be changed at the same time. All three new parts are adaptable back to the beginning of production of the machines. The new parts became effective in production with the machine APX1079-UP.You can fabricate the new 198-1450 Plate from the former 8X-2463 Plate. Machine the inside diameter of the former 8X-2463 Plate from 620.60 0.25 mm (24.433 0.010 inch) to 661.79 0.25 mm (26.055 0.010 inch).There is also a new 226-2826 Friction Disc that is an optional replacement for 198-1137 Friction Disc that has a longer service life.
