Remove the drum. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drum - Remove and Install".
Drain the oil from the final drive planetary into a suitable container. The capacity of the final drive planetary is 2.4 L (0.6 US gal). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, KEBU7515, "Drum Drive Planetary Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.

Attach a lifting strap and Tooling (A) around final drive planetary (3), as shown.
Remove eight bolts (1) and remove plate (2), support assembly (4), and final drive planetary (3) from the mounts. The weight of the plate, the support assembly, and the final drive planetary as a unit is 329 kg (725 lb).

Use a hoist to position plate (2) and final drive planetary (3), as shown.
Remove ten nuts (5). Attach a hoist to plate (2). Remove plate (2) from final drive planetary (3). The weight of the plate is 95 kg (209 lb).

Remove fitting (10) from propel motor (7). Remove two bolts (9) and remove propel motor (7) and the O-ring seal from final drive planetary (3) .
Remove fitting (6) from final drive planetary (3) .
Attach a hoist to support assembly (4). Remove seventeen bolts (8) and remove support assembly (4) from final drive planetary (3). The weight of the support assembly is 90 kg (198 lb).
