- 14 142-7289 Cylinder Head Fastener Gp Use the following procedure to tighten the cylinder head bolts:
1. Tighten bolt 1 through bolt 14 in a numerical sequence to 300 15 N m (220 11 lb ft).
2. Loosen bolt 1 through bolt 14 to 0 N m (0 lb ft).
3. Tighten bolt 1 through bolt 14 in a numerical sequence to 130 15 N m (95 11 lb ft).
4. Again, tighten bolt 1 through bolt 14 in a numerical sequence to 130 15 N m (95 11 lb ft).
5. Turn bolt 1 through bolt 14 in a numerical sequence to an additional angle of 90 degrees (1/4 turn).
Before assembly, lubricate the threads and the bearing surfaces of bolt 15 through bolt 20 with 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound.
6. Tighten bolt 15 through bolt 20 in a numerical sequence to 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).

C 6 8M-5860 Cup Plug Before assembly, apply Loctite #120540 to the bores.
Installation depth of the cup plug is 1.25 0.25 mm (0.049 0.010 inch).
D 6 227-1200 Injector Sleeve Length for applying green Loctite 620 on the injector sleeve is 4.0 mm (0.16 inch).
21 6 310-7257 O-Ring Seals Apply clean engine oil.
