Removal Procedure
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses and on all wires for installation purposes. Plug all lines and all hoses. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove bolts (1), caps (2), and the shims from each lift cylinder rod. Note the quantity and the location of the shims for assembly purposes.
Start the machine.
Retract the lift cylinder rods.
Stop the machine.

Attach a suitable lifting device to stabilizer link (3). The weight of stabilizer link (3) is approximately 120 kg (265 lb).
Remove bolts (5), cap (4), and the shims.
Start the machine.
Carefully turn the machine to the left until stabilizer link (3) is disengaged from the front trunnion.
Stop the machine.
Lower the disconnected end of stabilizer link (3) to the ground.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".
Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank for the steering system and for the hydraulic fan into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank for the implement and the braking system into a suitable container for storage or disposal.

Disconnect hose assemblies (6).

Position suitable blocking under push arm (7), as shown.
Remove bolts (9), bearing cap (8), and the shims from push arm (7). Note the quantity and the location of the shims for assembly purposes.
Repeat Steps 15 and 16 for the opposite machine side.

Move the machine away from the push arm assembly.
