The gain/response switch is located on the right console.Gain/Response Switch - Push this switch in order to change the controllability of the joysticks. When you change the setting, the new setting will be displayed on the monitor for 3 seconds.Note: The gain/response setting can be continuously displayed on the monitor. For more information, refer to the Indicated Item section of Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Monitoring System".
Soft - Push the gain/response switch once in order to select the soft mode. This mode slows down the movements of the boom, stick, work tool, and swing.
Quick - Push the gain/response switch twice in order to select the quick mode. This mode reduces the range of fine control of the joysticks. Push the gain/response switch three times in order to resume normal control of the joysticks.The settings for each mode can be changed in order to meet the needs of the operator. Consult your Caterpillar dealer in order to change the presets of the gain/response switch.
