Start By:
Remove the elevator motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Elevator Motor - Remove". The information is in this manual.
Remove the elevator chain and flights. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Chain and Flights - Remove". The information is in this manual.

Attach two nylon lifting straps and a hoist to the elevator drive, as shown. Remove bolt (1) from the elevator. Use a hammer and a brass rod to remove pin (2) from the elevator. Remove two bolts (3) and bracket (4) from the elevator. Remove the elevator drive from the elevator. The elevator drive weighs 420 kg (925 lb) .
