Remove panel (5) by rotating (6) screws counterclockwise.

Connect the communication adapter to the service tool connector (7) .

Open the access door on the left side of the machine.

Attach tooling (A) or (B) to the pressure tap (8) .
Start the engine and increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Depress the brake/deceleration pedal.
Select the lowest maximum ground speed.
Release the parking brake.
Move the speed and direction control to the FORWARD position.Note: The engine speed will only decrease if the brake/deceleration pedal is set to decelerate the engine speed. The engine speed will remain at HIGH IDLE if the brake/deceleration pedal is set to decelerate the hystat system.
Release the brake/deceleration pedal. Record the parking brake pressure at pressure tap (8) onto the worksheet. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The parking brake pressure at the pressure tap (8) should be 3100 150 kPa (450 22 psi).
Record the engine speed onto the worksheet. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The engine speed should be 2100 30 rpm.
Depress the brake/deceleration to the FIRST DETENT position. Record the parking brake pressure at pressure tap (8) onto the worksheets. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The parking brake pressure at the pressure tap (8) should be 3100 150 kPa (450 22 psi).
Record the engine speed onto the worksheet. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The engine speed should be 1400 50 rpm.
Fully depress the brake/deceleration pedal. Record the parking brake pressure at pressure tap (8) onto the worksheets. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The parking brake pressure at pressure tap (8) should be 100 100 kPa (15 15 psi) .
Record the engine speed onto the worksheet. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheets - Troubleshoot".The engine speed should be 1400 50 rpm.
Move the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position.
Decrease engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
Exit the machine.If the parking brake pressures are not within specifications, recalibrate the position sensor. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Position Sensor (Service Brake/Deceleration Pedal) - Calibrate". Then, perform the service brake test again.
Disconnect the gauge and hose from pressure tap (8) .
After the test has been completed, remove all of the hoses. Disconnect the communication adapter.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt.
Start the engine and increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Move the bulldozer control to the LOWER position in order to raise the front end of the machine off the stand.
Move the bulldozer control to the HOLD position.
Decrease the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine.
Exit the machine.
Remove the stand.
Place one 9S-0027 Lift Assembly under the rear of each track.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt.
Start the engine and increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Move the bulldozer control toward the RAISE position in order to lower the front of the machine to the ground.
Return the bulldozer control to the HOLD position.
Decrease engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Stop the engine.
Exit the machine.
