Transmission
Change Filter
1. Open both access covers located behind the cab. 2. Remove the filter housing and the element. Discard the used element.3. Clean the filter housing base with a clean cloth. Inspect the seal for damage. If the seal is damaged, replace it.4. Wash the filter housing in clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Install the new element in the housing.6. Install the filter element and the housing.7. Start and run the engine at low idle. Check for leaks. 8. Maintain the transmission oil level between the low and full marks on dipstick (1). Add oil through fill tube (2) if necessary.9. Close the access covers. Stop the engine.Hydraulic System
Change the Filters
Change the Pilot Filter
1. Open the hydraulic tank access cover on the right side of the machine. 2. Remove the oil filter cap slowly to relieve the tank pressure. 3. Open the pilot filter access cover behind the cab. 4. Remove the filter housing and filter. Discard the used filter.5. Clean the filter housing base with a clean cloth.6. Inspect the filter housing base seal for damage. Replace the seal if it is damaged.7. Clean the filter housing with a clean, nonflammable solvent.8. Insert a new filter into the filter housing.9. Install the housing into the housing base.Change the Hydraulic Tank Filters
1. Remove the bolts from the filter cover and remove the cover.2. Inspect the cover seal. Replace the seal if it is damaged.3. Remove and discard the two used filters.4. Remove the screen and wash it in a clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Wash the cover in a clean, nonflammable solvent.6. Install screen, two new filters, cover and the cover bolts.7. Install the hydraulic tank filler cap.8. Start and operate the engine at low idle. Check for leaks. 9. Maintain the hydraulic oil level above the ADD COLD mark on the sight gauge. Add oil if necessary. Stop the engine.10. Close the hydraulic tank and the pilot filter access covers.Fuel System
Clean and Change Filters
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Wash the Primary Filter Element
1. Open the access cover located behind the cab. 2. Loosen the filter housing retaining bolt and remove the housing and element.3. Remove the element from the housing.4. Wash the element and housing in a clean, nonflammable solvent.5. Dry the element using pressure air.6. Clean the filter housing base. Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal if it is damaged.7. Insert the clean element into the housing.8. Install the housing into the housing base.9. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.10. Close the access cover. Stop the engine.Change Secondary Fuel Filter
1. Open the access cover on the left side of the machine. 2. Remove and discard the used filter element.3. Clean the filter mounting base. Be sure all of the old seal is removed.4. Lubricate the sealing surface of the new filter with clean diesel fuel.5. Install the new filter by hand. When the seal contacts the base, tighten an additional 3/4 turn.There are
