Bucket Zero Key
The "Bucket Zero" function is used to adjust for changes in the empty bucket weight. Bucket weight can vary due to bucket wear or excess material stuck in the bucket.

The Cat "Production Management" software can display pop-up messages if conditions determine that a "Bucket Zero" is required. The alert, when applicable, is displayed after the "Dump" portion of the measurement application has been completed.
Perform bucket zero when:
The "Bucket Zero Interval" has expired
When prompted by the software (calibration alert displayed by monitor)
Not achieving desired accuracy
Ground Engagement Tool (GET) or work tool change
Material carryback change
A calibration of the "Boom Single Operation" and "Front Multi Operation" has been performedNote: Up to 20 bucket zero adjustment values can be stored for each work toolBucket Zero Interval Adjustment
The operator can change the "Bucket Zero" interval by navigating to the "Operating Mode" menu from the "Cat"® "Production Measurement Menu" screen.Follow the steps below for specific instructions:
Use the keypad to select "Bucket Zero Interval". Press the "OK" function key.
Use the keypad to select the desired interval. Press the "OK" function key.
Press the "OK" function key to confirm your selection.
