Information:
start by:a) remove rocker shaft and push rods 1. Remove the valve lifters (1) with tool (A).
When the original camshaft and valve lifters are to be used again, each valve lifter must be installed in its original location so it runs against the same lobe on the camshaft. During assembly put a mark on each valve lifter for positive identification for the correct position when they are installed. Do not damage the contact surfaces when the marks are put on the valve lifters.
Install Valve Lifters
1. Put clean SAE 30 engine oil on valve lifters and camshaft lobes.2. Use tool (A) to install valve lifters in their original positions in the cylinder block.end by:a) install rocker shaft and push rods
