Causes of a UCMD Event
The Pump Stuck at Maximum Displacement -The motor will be running at the crossover gear ratio when a speed is commanded within the pump range. The machine will not be able to slow down to a stop.
Pump Stuck at Minimum Displacement -The motor will not move when any speed is commanded. The machine will not move.
Motor Stuck at Maximum Displacement - The motor will not go above the cross over gear ratio when a speed is commanded within the motor range. The machine cannot reach runout speed.
Motor Stuck at Minimum Displacement -The actual speed of the motor will be too high compared to the desired speed of the motor. The travel pressure will be excessive while not under load.
Pressure Sensor - If the diagnostic for the travel pressure is active, the pressure defaults to low pressure. Turning can cause a false diagnostic to be set.
Temperature Sensor - If there is a temperature sensor diagnostic, high temperature is assumed which could falsely diagnose event if transmission oil is cold (below 0 °C (32 °F)).

Uncommanded Motion Detected Troubleshooting Flowchart(Applies to EID codes 0568, 0569, 0570, and 0571 only)Note: Reference Testing and Adjusting, KENR5148, "Piston Pump and Motor Maximum Displacement - Test" for the D6K. Reference Testing and Adjusting, KENR6510, "Piston Pump and Motor Maximum Displacement - Test" for the PL61.Machine ECM Event and Code List
The following table lists the event codes that apply to the machine control system. The recommended response is listed. Use the Cat ET service tool in order to determine the event codes that are active or logged.
Table 2
Machine System Event Identifier(EID) Codes
EID    Level    Description     Possible Cause and Recommended Response
0119     1     Low Fuel Level
0179     1     The Alternator Is Not Charging     Inspect the charging system for a loose or a missing alternator belt, a loose or damaged alternator, loose or corroded battery cables or failed batteries.
0441     1     Idle Elevated in order to Increase Battery Voltage
0491     2     Incorrect number of Valve ECMs detected
0568     2     Unexpected Left Motor Forward Speed Detected     This event indicates that the direction (indicated at left) of the track (indicated at left) has moved faster or slower than expected.
See Illustration 1 for Uncommanded Motion Detected (UCMD) troubleshooting description and tree.
0569     2     Unexpected Left Motor Reverse Speed Detected
0570     2     Unexpected Right Motor Forward Speed Detected
0571     2     Unexpected Right Motor Reverse Speed Detected
0577     1     Engine Ramp Rate Limited Due to Cold Hydraulic Oil
0679     1     Idle Elevated to Increase Engine Coolant Temperature
0695     3     Unexpected Motor Speed Detection Disabled     This active only event is used to indicate that the unexpected speed detection system (determines if uncommanded machine movement is present) is disabled
