The System devices can be one of the following:
Cross Slope Only
Dual-Laser Receivers Or Single-Laser With Cross Slope
Dual-Sonic Tracers Or Single-Sonic Tracer With Cross Slope
Single Laser And Single Sonic Tracer With Cross SlopeCross Slope Control
The base configuration in the AccuGrade - Grade Control System is Cross Slope. The system uses three sensors to determine the position of the blade. The Blade Slope Sensor measures the slope of the blade. The Mainfall Sensor measures the slope of the machine in the direction of travel. The Rotation Sensor measures the angle of the blade relative to the frame of the machine. The desired slope is entered in the Display. When the operator places the system in Auto mode, the blade will be positioned at the desired slope. The operator controls only one end of the blade while the Cross Slope system controls the other end. When the blade is perpendicular to the frame, 0 degree of rotation is achieved. These sensors allow an accurate slope of the blade even when the blade is rotated and the machine is not level.Sonic Device
The Sonic configuration of the Grade Control System uses sound to determine the distance to a reference surface. The following are examples of what materials can be used as reference materials:
String line
Curb and gutter
Previous PassTo determine the elevation, the sonic sensor measures the length of time it takes for the sound to travel between the sonic sensor (transducer) and the reference surface. Once the elevation is set, any deviations are sent to the Display. The Display sends correction commands to the Implement/valve Electronic Control Module that controls the hydraulic valves.Laser Receiver
A Laser Receiver is mounted on an electric telescopic mast above the cutting edge of the machine. The Laser Receiver detects the elevation of the laser beam and sends the information to the Display. The Laser Transmitter is mounted on a tripod. The Laser Transmitter emits a thin beam of light that rotates at 600 rpm at a fixed height above the design grade. The beam creates a grade reference over the work area.

The Display informs the operator of the position of the blade relative to grade. The Display indicates cut or fill requirements of the work area.An automated blade control feature allows the operator to automatically control the lift function (single receiver) of one side of the blade and/or the lift (dual receiver) functions of both sides of the blade by placing the cutting edge to the precise elevation needed for fine grading. The Laser System provides valve drive signals for automatic blade control. The valve automatically raises or lowers the cutting edge based on the correction signals to maintain elevation for precise grade control and optimum productivity.
If the laser beam strikes above the on-grade position of the Laser Receivers, the cutting edge of the
