Condenser (Refrigerant)
If excessively dirty, clean condenser with a brush. To prevent damage or bending of the fins, do not use a stiff brush.Repair the fins if found defective.
The condenser is located behind the operator compartment.Note: Before the condenser is cleaned, the machine must meet the following conditions:
The battery disconnect switch must be in the OFF position.
The frame lock pin must be installed in the LOCK position.Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch"Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock"

Remove bolts (1) from cover (2). Remove the cover.
Inspect the condenser for debris. If necessary, clean the condenser.
Use clean water to wash off all dust and dirt from the condenser.Note: To aid in cleaning, an additive that provides degreasing may be applied. The additive must not contain ammonia.Note: If a pressure washer is used, the nozzle of the pressure washer must be no closer than 18 inches and the nozzle must be at a right angle to avoid damage.
Install cover (2). Install bolts (1).Evaporator and Heater Coils
The evaporator and heater coils are located under the seat in the cab.

Remove the access cover (1).

Remove the bolts from the modular unit (2). There are four bolts on each side of the modular unit.
Slide the modular unit along the rails.

Install links to the bolts (3).
Attach a strap to the links. Lift the modular unit and remove the modular unit.

Clean the evaporator coil (4) and clean the heater coil (5). If necessary, replace both coils.
Install the modular unit.
Install the access cover.Note: If you are operating the machine under harsh conditions or with the cab door open, it may be necessary to clean the coils more often.Radiator and Radiator Core

Open the access door on the left rear of the machine. Open the access door on the right rear of the machine.
Remove any dirt from the area around the radiators. Remove any debris from the area around the radiators.Note: You can use compressed air, high-pressure water, or steam to remove dust and other debris from the radiator core. However, the use of compressed air is preferred. See Special Publication, SEBD0518, "Know Your Cooling System" for the complete procedure for cleaning the radiator core.
Close the access doors.
