B 138-7575 Link Bracket 2 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble.
Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install seal (19) and seal (20) onto head (2). Note: Seal (19) should face toward the inside of head (2). The inside of head (2) is the pressure side.Note: Seal (20) should face toward the outside of head (2). The outside of head (2) is the atmospheric side.
Install rod wiper (21) onto head (2). Note: The lip of rod wiper (21) should face toward the outside.
Install backup ring (23) and O-ring seal (22) onto head (2). Note: O-ring seal (22) should face toward the inside of head (2). The inside of head (2) is the pressure side.Note: Backup ring (23) should face toward the outside of head (2). The outside of head (2) is the atmospheric side.

Install Tooling (B) to head (2). Attach Tooling (B) to a suitable lifting device and a hoist. Position head (2) onto rod assembly (14), as shown. The weight of head (2) is 31 kg (68 lb).

Use a suitable lifting sling and a hoist in order to position cylinder assembly (4) onto Tooling (A). The weight of cylinder assembly (4) is 146 kg (322 lb).
Install seal (15) and seal (17) onto cylinder assembly (4). Note: Seal (15) should face toward the inside of cylinder assembly (4).Note: Seal (17) should face toward the outside of cylinder assembly (4).
Install rod wiper (18) onto cylinder assembly (4). Note: The lip of rod wiper (18) should face toward the outside of cylinder assembly (4).
Install wear ring (16) onto cylinder assembly (4). Note: O-ring seal (22) should face toward the inside of head (2). The inside of head (2) is the pressure side.Note: Backup ring (23) should face toward the outside of head (2). The outside of head (2) is the atmospheric side.

Install the end of rod assembly (14) into cylinder assembly (4), as shown.
Press head (2) onto cylinder assembly (4).
Use Tooling (A) in order to push rod assembly (14) into cylinder assembly (4).

Install wear ring (11) and wear ring (13) onto piston (7). Install seal assembly (12) onto piston (7).

Position piston (7) into cylinder assembly (4). Note: Make sure that the bolt holes in piston (7) are aligned with the bolt holes of rod assembly (14) (not shown).

Install eight bolts (9) and the washers in order to install piston (7) onto the end of rod assembly (14).
Install wear ring (8) onto cylinder assembly
