Information:

Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine or release of air pressure or oil pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To help prevent possible injury before testing and adjusting any air system or hydraulic system, perform the procedure in the Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" section.

8T-0855 Pressure Gauge (
4000 kPa (580 psi))     2    This test will show the following conditions if the conditions exist:
The upshift solenoid is working properly.
The downshift solenoid is working properly.
The rotary actuator is working properly.Note: Make sure that the filters and the screens are clean before you test any pressures. Make sure that the oil is at operating temperature before you perform this test.Procedure

(J) Pressure tap for upshift pressure (K) Pressure tap for downshift pressure
Use a coupler and a hose to connect a 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge (4000 kPa (580 psi)) to the nipple at pressure tap (J). Use a coupler and a hose to connect a 8T-0855 Pressure Gauge (4000 kPa (580 psi)) to the nipple at pressure tap (K) .
Start the engine. Run the engine at the low idle rpm with the transmission in FIRST gear. The pressure on both of the gauges should be 0 kPa (0 psi) while the machine is in gear.
Put the transmission control in the cab in the NEUTRAL position. The pressure gauge on pressure tap (J) should read 0 kPa (0 psi). The pressure on gauge on pressure tap (K) should read 2515 kPa (365 psi) while the transmission control in the cab is in the NEUTRAL position.
Stop the engine. Disconnect the harnesses from upshift solenoid (1) and from downshift solenoid (2). Connect the harness for downshift solenoid (2) to upshift solenoid (1) .
Personal injury or death can result from machine movement.Place blocks in front of and behind the wheels to make sure that the machine does not move while the machine is in gear.
Note: Disconnect the electrical harness from lockup clutch solenoid (3). Make sure that the parking brake is engaged.
Start the engine. Run the engine at the low idle rpm with the transmission control in the cab in the NEUTRAL position. The machine will upshift to SIXTH gear. The pressure on the gauge that is connected to pressure tap (J) should read 2515 kPa (365 psi). The pressure gauge on pressure tap (K) should read 0 kPa (0 psi).
Stop the engine.
Properly connect the harnesses for upshift solenoid (1), downshift solenoid (2), and lockup clutch solenoid (3). Remove the test equipment.Problem: A gauge reads
