1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 140 liters (36.4 U.S. gal).2. Remove four bolts (1) to disconnect the elbow and hose assembly.3. Remove four bolts (2) and washers and disconnect the elbow and hose assembly.4. Fasten a lifting strap and hoist to implement pump. Remove the two bolts and washers that hold the pump in position. Remove the implement pump from the machine. The weight of the implement pumps is 46 kg (150 lb).5. Remove the O-ring seal from the implement pump. The following steps are for the installation of the implement pump.6. Check the condition of all O-ring seals. If any of the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 7. Fasten a lifting strap and hoist to the implement pump. Put the implement pump in position on the machine and install the two bolts and washers that hold. The weight of the implement pump is 46 kg (150 lb).8. Install four bolts (2) and washers to the elbow and hose assembly as shown.9. Put the elbow and hose assembly in position and Install four bolts (1).10. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to the R2900 L.H.D. Operation and Maintenance Manual, Form No. SEBU7319 (9EL9465) for the correct procedure.End by:a. Remove steering frame lock link.Disassemble Implement Pump
Start by:a. Remove implement pump.1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the pump. 2. Remove seal retainer (2) from the flange.3. Remove seals and O-ring from flange.4. Remove bolts (3) from flange (1). 5. Remove flange from pump body. 6. Remove seal (6), back-up ring, ring retainer and isolation plate (4) from pump.7. Remove steel ring (5) and O-ring from flange. 8. Lift drive shaft (7) up. This will loosen pressure plate (8).9. Remove pressure plate (8) from pump body.10. Remove drive shaft (7) and idler gear (9) from body. 11. Keep pressure plate (10) as level as possible and remove it from the pump body. 12. Remove ring retainer (12), isolation plate (13), seal (11) and back-up ring (14).Assemble Implement Pump
1. Thoroughly clean all of the parts. Refer to Diagnostic Tyrone Gear Pump Failures, Form No. FEG45137, for assistance in inspection of the parts. 2. Inspect all of the parts of the pump. Check the bores in the body for wear. Measure the depth of the groove in each bore. If the groove is deeper than .015 in (0.38 mm), a replacement of the body and gears must be made. 3. Check the pressure plates for wear. If there are deep wear marks, install new pressure plates. 4. Put body of pump on bench with the retainer cups for the isolation plate to the right. 5. One of the isolation plates (1) is rounded on one edge.6. Install the isolation plate (1) in the pump body with the rounded edge down. It must be on the supply side of the pump. 7. Put clean hydraulic
