Procedure to Install the 10R-8944 Turbocharger Gp

Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR8255, "770 Off-Highway Truck Engine Supplement", "Turbocharger Remove".
Install the new 10R-8944 . Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR8255, "770 Off-Highway Truck Engine Supplement", "Turbocharger Install".Flash the Electronic Control Module (ECM)
Reflash the ECM with 337-6843 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp .
Once the ECM has been flash turn off the ignition for thirty seconds.Ordering New Labels for the Engine
Locate the Service Information System (SIS) web homepage. The address is https://sis.cat.com.
On the SIS web homepage, select the "Engine Technical Marketing Information - TMI" link.
Once in the Engine Technical Marketing Information section, enter the serial number of the engine into the "reference number" box. Select "serial number" from the drop-down menu.
Press the "Retrieve Data" button.
Select the "Emissions Data" link.
Scroll to the bottom and click the "Need Emissions Replacement Label - Click Here!" link. The user will be directed to the Large Power Systems Division homepage.

Click the "Emissions/Certification Replacement" link.
Complete the "Dealer Name" information and the "Dealer Address" information. Complete the fields that are highlighted with a red asterisk.

Select "Engine Information Label" as the "Label Type". Enter "Engine reconfigured to the newest engine arrangment" in the "Reason for the Replacement Label Request" field. Use Table 2 in order to determine the correct arrangement number for ordering new labels.

Remove the original adhesive label. Apply the new label. Apply the clear overlay over the new label.
Remove the original stamped metal plate from the side of the engine block. Use Lock-Tite Brand adhesive to apply the new plate.
