The existing 10R-5667, and 373-6537 Oil Cooler Core Assemblies in dealer parts stock could have been manufactured with excessive glue. If the cooler, with excessive glue, is installed it can generate fretting within the core and lead to a leaking cooler causing engine and customer downtime.
Remove all 10R-5667, and 373-6537 Oil Cooler Core Assemblies from dealer parts stock that have a date code prior to "NUUMUU" December 1, 2011.
The date code is on the middle of the oil cooler. The date is coded using the NUMERAL KOD system.
Numbers are represented by the following letters:
N = 0
U = 1
M = 2
E = 3
R = 4
A = 5
L = 6
K = 7
O = 8
D = 9
Format is six continuous letters.
First two letters, NU = the day of the month
Second two letters, UM = the number of the month
Third two letters, UU = the last two digits of the year
So the example NU/UM/UU represents, 01/12/11, or 01 December, 2011.
