1. Remove clamps (6) on each side of bracket (3).2. Remove the bolts holding bracket (3) in position and remove the bracket.3. Disconnect fuel lines (2) and (4) from the fuel transfer pump.4. Remove two mounting bolts (5) and fuel transfer pump (1).5. Install protective caps on fuel lines (2) and (4). The following steps are for installation of the fuel transfer pump.6. Install fuel transfer pump (1) with a new gasket and O-ring seal.7. Install bolts (5).8. Remove the protective caps and install fuel lines (2) and (4).9. Install bracket (3) and clamps (6).10. Use the fuel priming pump to remove air from the system.Disassemble & Assemble Fuel Transfer Pump
Start By:a. remove fuel transfer pump 1. Remove two bolts and retainers (2) and tachometer drive (1). 2. Remove O-ring seal (3).3. Remove three bolts (4) and three allen bolts (6).4. Remove cover (7) from the pump body and lip type seal (5). 5. Separation of pump body (8) and cover (7). Remove plug (9) from cover (7). 6. Remove plug (9), seal (10), spring (11) and valve assembly (12) from the cover.7. Remove lip type seal (5) if necessary. 8. Remove shaft assembly (14) and gear (15) from pump body (8). 9. Remove idler shaft (16), check valve (17) and bushing (18). 10. Remove O-ring seal (19). Remove bushing (20) and the two lip type seals (21) if necessary. Assemble in reverse order.11. Assemble cover (7) to body (8) using 6V-6652 Gasket Eliminator. Use the silk screen method to apply the gasket material. Do not get gasket material in the pump cavity.End By:a. Install the fuel transfer pump.
