Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and remove the retaining bolt on pin assembly (5) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin assembly (5) and the spacer. Remove the shims at the rod end of the stick cylinder. The weight of pin assembly (5) and Tooling (A) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device to support stick cylinder (2) . The weight of stick cylinder (2) is approximately 840 kg (1852 lb).
Position stick cylinder (2) into the boom bore.

Apply Tooling (E) to the pin on pin assembly (5) .
Temporarily install pin assembly (5) with Tooling (F) . Align the pin bore in the rod end of the stick cylinder with the pin bore in the stick. Install the original shim pack between the stick cylinder and the stick pin bore. The weight of pin assembly (5) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).
Slide the stick to one side until the stick contacts the boom. Measure total Clearance (X) between the stick and the boom at the pin bore. The total clearance must not be more than 1.0 mm (0.04 inch). If the total clearance is less than 1.0 mm (0.04 inch), the addition of shims between the stick and the boom will not be
