A. High Amplitude, Forward (Ford Engine)
1. The amplitude control rod is pushed in towards weight assembly.
Amplitude changes can only be made when the machine is NOT vibrating.
2. The vibratory switch (on instrument panel) is placed in the ON position.3. The direction control lever is moved to the "forward" direction of travel.4. Fluid is then drawn from the reservoir to the pump.5. From the pump primary pressure flows to the double solenoid valve. a. Secondary pressure flows from the pump to the single solenoid valve (which is held open by an internally located spring centered spool) allowing fluid to flow through the valve, to the cooler, through the cooler and back into the reservoir.6. From the double solenoid valve primary pressure is transmitted to the motor which rotates the weight assembly in he opposite direction of travel. a. When the propel lever is shifted into forward a microswitch (connected to the propel switch and located under the console) receives an electric impulse from the vibratory switch which it transmits to the double solenoid valve.b. This impulse energizes one of the two solenoid valves internally shifting a spool which routes the hydraulic fluid flow to the front port of the motor.7. From the motor fluid travels back and through the double solenoid valve.8. From the double solenoid valve fluid travels to the coolers through the cooler and back to reservoir.B. Low Amplitude, Reverse (Ford Engine)
1. The amplitude control rod is pulled away from the weight assembly.2. The vibratory switch is placed in the ON position.3. The direction control lever is moved to the "reverse" direction.4. Fluid is drawn from the reservoir to the pump.5. From the pump primary and secondary pressure flows to the double solenoid valve. a. The single solenoid hydraulic valve is energized when the amplitude control rod is pulled into contact with the amplitude microswitch which receives current from the vibratory switch.b. When the valve is energized an internally located spool shifts thus blocking flow to the reservoir and routing the fluid to the double solenoid valve.6. At the double solenoid valve primary and secondary pressure is combined and sent to the motor. a. When the propel lever is shifted into reverse a microswitch (connected to the propel switch and located under the console) receives an electric impulse from the vibratory switch which it transmits to the double solenoid valve.b. This impulse energizes one of the two solenoid valves internally shifting a self centering spool which routes the hydraulic fluid to the rear port of the motor.7. From the motor fluid travels back and through the double solenoid valve.8. From the double solenoid valve fluid travels to the cooler, through the cooler and back to the reservoir.C. High Amplitude. Forward (John Deere Engine)
1. Operation is the same as item A, steps 1 thru 8, of above except from the motor fluid is returned directly to the reservoir and vibratory system and is cooled by dumped oil from the steering system and intake oil from the reservoir.D. Low
